Batavi Watch Co. has created a new watch line, the Marina Chronograaf, which blends vintage aesthetics with modern technology and playful colors. I’m actually a huge fan of this young brand, and I’m the proud owner their uber-popular Atelier “Rock” edition that they created several years ago.

The Marina Chronograaf is housed in a polished 38 mm stainless‑steel case that stretches a compact 46 mm lug‑to‑lug and sits a hair above 12 mm tall under a high‑domed sapphire crystal. Its also water resistant to 50 m. A sapphire display back reveals the hand‑wound Seagull ST1901 column‑wheel chronograph beating at 21,600 vph and delivering a 48‑hour reserve, which is more than enough at this price point. To me, the watch hits that sweet spot where retro charm meets daily‑wear pragmatism.

Each of the four dial options—misty grey, sunrise salmon, deep marine blue, and inky midnight—pairs a crisp bi-compax layout with applied indices, baton hands filled with Super‑LumiNova, and pastel pops of color that feel lively without compromising legibility.

Every watch ships on a solid three‑link stainless‑steel bracelet, and Batavi offers leather or nylon straps for extra summer versatility. At €649 at release, the Marina Chronograaf presents an incredible value for a well-constructed watch that blends classic vintage vibes with a playful twist. I am definitely going to be adding this to my collection sometime soon!
