This year’s Watches and Wonders wrapped up last week in Switzerland and 2025 was a solid year for new releases. All of the top brands released new pieces, and while there are just too many new watches to cover in a short video, here are my favorites so far from Watches and Wonders 2025.
1. Tudor – Cherry Red – Tudor has been releasing absolute bangers since it released the Black Bay Chrono in Inter-Miami pink and “flamingo” blue over the past two years, but there was a new all-burgundy Black Bay 58 that stole the show this year. While the case and overall design ethos of the Black Bay has not changed at all, Tudor released this new sunburst dial version with a bright burgundy dial and match bezel. Paired with the new 5-link bracelet for a polished look with the new quick adjustment clasp, Tudor is consistently producing great pieces that are popular with watch enthusiasts.
2. Nomos – Club World Timer – Nomos released a brand new world-timer caliber paired with brightly colored dial options that are just insane. My favorites are this “magma” version and this “glacier” hue with a pop of red and brown in the 24-hour indicator. Ever consistent with the company’s focus on wearability and minimalism, the watch is 40mm in diameter and just 9.9mm thick, making this one of the thinnest world-timers on the market. Available as a limited edition for under $5,000 with an in-house complicated movement, this German manufacturer is proving to be a serious contender for one of the best values on the market.
3. Bremont – Altitude Line – I used to really want a Bremont when they initially came out with some of their Supermarine series because I liked the unique textured outer ring that surrounded the case, especially this red version. After last year’s rebranding fiasco which saw Bremont temporarily abandon some of its signature aviation themes, I wasn’t sure which direction Bremont would take. But I was pleasantly surprised by this year’s new releases from the British manufacturer, including the new Altitude series. I love the details on this watch, from the “ejection” pull handle seconds hand and date window to the raised applied numerals, which is a strong return to Bremont’s aviation roots.
4. AnOrdain - Model 2 Porcelain – Technically released before W&W2025, I just had to include AnOrdain’s new Model 2 Porcelain dial in my round-up as I think porcelain dials are criminally under-appreciated. AnOrdain is usually known for its relatively affordable vitreous enamel dials coming in various patterns and hues, but this jet-black porcelain dial paired with their uber-comfortable 39.5mm diameter Model 2 case and the respectable La Joux-Perret G101 movement, all for under $2,000.
5. Rolex, Cartier and H. Moser & Cie – Of course, no recap would be complete without discussing the releases from powerhouse brands Rolex, Cartier and H. Moser & Cie. Rolex introduced the Land-Dweller with a new case design, integrated bracelet and perhaps, most importantly, the new 7135 caliber which operates at a higher 5 hertz frequency and a “dynapulse” escapement which sequentially distributes power more evenly. Cartier brought back to life a jump-hour tank, called the Tank à Guichets, from the late 1920’s which includes an incredibly simple, yet elegant, way to view the time. And to close things out, H. Moser & Cie wowed attendees with an assortment of pastel colors in the Endeavor line, including some of Moser’s more complicated chiming and tourbillon models, that offer a playful pop of color backed up by Moser’s serious watchmaking credentials.
Let me know in the comments if you were similarly impressed by any of these watches or if you will be adding any of these to your collection soon!
